Diamond Growing Methods

HPHT-High Pressure High Temperature is used to grow lab diamonds.

Over recent years various research laboratories have modified and perfected diamond growing techniques.
Manufactured in labs, synthetic diamonds are grown using the HPHT(high pressure high temperature) which recreates natures conditions found deep aprox 150-200km deep in the earth’s mantle.

Extreme pressure up to 60,000 atmospheres and extremely high temperatures up to 2,500C mimic the conditions of nature to create our synthetic diamonds.

To grow diamonds the technology known as split sphere or bars can be used. This uses a built in cell where your carbon source plus other pure carbon is placed together with a diamond seed this is placed within the capsule then under extreme heat and pressures atoms of carbon break down into individual atoms these molecules bond together to create a diamond .
